2/5 StarsZircon Pro SL-AC: Choose something better | The Zircon Pro SL-AC does a reasonable job of locating stud edges. It frequently needs to be restarted due to tiny changes in wall thickness or texture. I haven't used it in DeepScan mode. AC wiring sensitivity is too high, so that the indicator light goes on within two feet of the wire and you can't tell which stud supports the wire. The unit comes with a useless DVD that includes operating instructions for numerous Zircon models, but surprisingly, none for this model or any model with similar operating features. The instruction sheet does an adequate job, but if you follow their incorrect directions for replacing the battery you may damage the case.
