Watts Water Pressure Reducing Valve Series 25AUB-Z3 3/4" (0069717)

Series 25AUB-Z3 Water Pressure Reducing Valves are often used in residential and commercial installations to slow down or reduce the incoming water pressure in order to help protect the water pipes and the components of the plumbing system. Watts 25AUB-Z3 consist of a bronze body construction, union inlet connection, integral stainless steel strainer and a reinforced diaphragm for hot water making the product high temperature resistant. The Series 25AUB-Z3 is available with a variety of end connections types including: threaded, solder, PEX, quick-connect and CPVC with both union and double union connections.

The Watts Series 25AUB-Z3 has an adjustable pressure range and is serviceable in-line which makes the product much easier to fix then other pressure reducing valves. Maximum Working Pressure: 300psi (21 bar), Adjustable Reduced Pressure Range: 25 to 75psi (172 to 517 kPa), Standard Pressure Setting: 50psi (344kPa).

The Watts Water Pressure Reducing Valve Series is sized at 1/2 to 2 in. Its has standard construction which includes Z3 sealed spring cage and stainless steel corrosion resistant adjusting & cage screws for accessible outdoor or pit installations. Other benefits include a union inlet connection, stainless steel strainer and a bronze body construction that is completely serviceable in line.

House in question had a 105 psi reading. All old 1/2 main was replaced with 3/4, Plus a new tabkless water heater. Soon afterwards the blow off started to periodically discarge. Also some hammering started to occur. Put in a 3/4 watts 25 to 75 psi. Set at 60 psi. All is well and working great. Watts is very reliable equipment.

This is a rock solid regulator and was spot on at the preset 50psi upon installation. I had 125 working PSI at my main and was getting leaky hoses/fixtures and shutter. I researched and compared opinions from other DIYers and friends and got this one as a result. The unit is very solid and adjusts easily and accurately (with a gauge of course) and is working at 60psi. Nothing is leaking, no shutter and flow regulates up decently when multiple devices are in use. The double union wasn't in stock so I got the single which worked out ok.
