Hot Water Fast
6/22/2011
Make sure you locate near the center of your hot water use. It can mount almost anywhere. You need to validate that you can install 3 double pull breakers in electrical box. Prepare to install valves for the hoses on input and exit pipes. Zero noise so it can be put anywhere. No worries about water heater leaks or flooding of your house. Have 3 baths and laundry running with no loss of hot water.

This Product and Company are the best

[...] Also, I had a hard time finding 8 gauge Romex wire here in the suburbs of Chicago, I did find Airconditioner/Water Heater whips that fit the bill. This was a 6 hour installation from start (reading the directions) to the end (taking a shower in hot water). I would highly recomed this unit, and I have, to my neighbors.

Electric Tankless - I'm not thankless
3/28/2010
Very pleased with this newly installed electric tankless water heater. The information before purchase was very thorough and said it could handle two showers at once. I was still a little concerned. But it does! No more gas smell in the closet! My only concern is my electric usage, but considering it only runs when we need the hot water, I hope it does not mean a spike in utility costs.

Stiebel Eltron Tempra 29 Plus Electric T
2/9/2010
I bought the Tempra 29 after doing a lot of research. You see I already had 2 tankless water heaters from BOSCH and they are purely junk. One of my BOSCH Heaters broke and leaked through out several rooms causing me much heartache and questions as to whether I really wanted to invest in another tankless product. But I am happy to say that I am glad that I purchased a Stiebel Eltron! Workmanship is superior to BOSCH and it works like a charm. I would not purchase another brand. I will be getting another one soon to replace my BOSCH tankless system which were not even 3 years old. Stay away from BOSCH!

Stiebel Eltron

All, I am very happy as a new customer of a Stiebel Eltron tankless water heater. Workmanship wise, this thing looks fabulous. Compared to my 2 year old BOSCH Tankless System that I would not give you a plum nickel for, this is by far superior! I had 2 BOSCH Systems and after one of them began to leak during the day, flooding my house, I replaced it with the Stiebel and am so happy. I will replace the other BOSCH ASAP! Stay away from BOSCH, they are junk and thier customer service really sucks. Again, I am very happy with the Stiebel!

It's fabulous!... with a couple caveats.

I am very happy with this purchase. Mounting the Tempra 29 Plus and the required new electrical box in the closet was as easy as 8 screws. Wiring it all up was a little more work. The plumbing is simple if you put it where your tank was. And losing our old 50 gallon tank gave us some new closet room for the house! The product itself is absolutely fabulous and is only about 4-5 inches deep and maybe 15"x15"ish. It looks very well made. (Those Germans always make good stuff!) Once installed, your water will easily get hotter than you can stand and I felt no fluctuation in the shower when the washing machine and a sink were also running hot. The ONLY negatives I see are 1)the dedicated line requirements and 2)a couple of our flourescent fixtures flicker/strobe slightly when hot water is running. I feel like that might simply be due to cheap bulbs or something because the "flicker" is isolated to just two fixtures in the whole house. Bottom line: Buy it. Just be prepared for a little extra cash to go to a new electrical box, 3x50amp breakers and some 8ga wire. But in the end, you'll be happy, you water will be hot, and yo won't be heating 50 gallons of water all day long for nothing. I can't wait for the next electric bill to see what my Tempra 29 Plus is saving me!

Great Water Heater
9/8/2009
I love the digital controls. The house had flooded when the [*] tank water heater blew. Some towels had gotten ick by the time the water heater was installed. I just cranked the temp up to 145 when I washed them. It also seems to even out the temperature. The clothes washer and the dishwasher was running while DH was in the shower. I even accidentally flushed once. He said he never noticed any fluctuations. I think that is from the variable heating.
