Little Giant 6-CIA, 1/3 HP, 45 GPM - Automatic Submersible Sump Pump, 8' power cord (506158)

Had these pumps installed last November by a guy who put in a dry basement system in my house. We had about 30" of rain this August including the hit from Irene. During Irene the pumps were cycleing on every 20 seconds. Never missed a beat and kept us dry. Wish I could say the same for the neighbors.

i picked this unit up to replace an aging unit i already have. we have this model pump in our home since we bought the house and there is really no telling how many years it was there before we bought the house. we've been here for over 10 years so the pumps are durable and reliable. i just figured it was time to replace it and not take any chances. it's very powerfull and it more than does the job. it is a very good and easy to use pump for either a new or replacement item for your sump pump needs. it's heavy but that tells me it's solidly built and not some toy! i am very luck to have found this site to have purchased this pump from. i feel as if i have a place i can now comfortably purchase such items from with peace of mind. they got the pump to me really fast and the price was great. i would buy from them again in the future no question and YES, i highly recommend them to anyone.

pro-- Effortless -- drop it in the sump, added a fine mesh screen to sump cover since it is outside year round, plugged it in and walk away. It worked for 2.5 years with no maintenance

con -- longevity -- after 2.5 years it died with no visible problem! Probably switch burned out.

I am on my third now. 2.5 years of keeping my house from flooding is worth it for the price. Would buy again and will try to fix the switch with the kit

i used it 8 times and it works fine and very fast. the only problem is it doesn't get the job done! when the level of water is lower then it size it stops pumping! then you to use other pumps. therefor it can only be good for water fountens and such where the level of water is higher then the pump all the time.

We had this sump pump installed after the heavy rains of 1993. The Little Giant 6-CIA has been very reliable and not given us a bit of trouble. Today, June 8 2008, we had 3.5 inchs of this morning and the pump is cycling every 3-4 min. I highly recommend this pump. Fifteen years and still pumping away. Keep on pump!!

I have always used Little Giant pumps and their quality outlives all others.
