like most of other reviews, I experienced an easy fix with the repair kit. It came on time and as advertized. I didn't have to drain my hot water tank because fortunately the original installers put a shut-off valve on each side of the pump! I first turned off the water line valves, then removed the pump, made sure the old o-ring was removed, cleaned out the black rubber residue, installed the new rotor and o-ring and reinstalled the assembly. My original pump lasted 9 years. It made a lot of humming and vibration noise for about a year and then quit completely. It took a number of hours, after the replacement, for all the air to be purged out of my system. It was a little noisy during that time but then quieted to the normal low hum.

clogs up, fails. get a water softner, replace parts... clogs up again and fails. new parts needed again. these pumps suck.

Rotor kit is used in hot water circulation pump. Very low cost compared to purchasing a new pump. Runs like new.

THIS DESCRIPTION DID NOT LIST THE PUMP THAT I HAD BUT I HOPED IT WOULD FIT KNOWING THAT GRUNDFOS BOUGH OUT LAING SOME TIME BACK. IT DROPPED RIGHT IN THE VOLUTE AND WENT RIGHT TO WORK CIRCULATING HOT WATER IN MY MOTHER-IN-LAWS HOUSE. LOCAL WHOLESALERS DID NOT HAVE THIS ROTOR FOR SALE SEPARATELY. THANKS.

I use a recirculating pump due to the water heater being so far from sink about 350 feet. You get almost instant hot water. Had old one for 16 years before I had to replace the rotor.

this is the third one I have had to install over an eight year period. I have two separate hot water systems, and for some reason, this one keeps needing the replacement kit. The other one has not required any repairs to this point. The replacement part is, in my opinion, rather expensive, but still less costly than replacing the entire pump.

My original unit stopped working after 10 years. Installation of this repair kit was straighforward, taking less than 10 minutes. The recirc system works like new again. I cleaned a minor amount of built up residue from the water line connections on the pump and plan to ignore it for another 10 years.

I followed the usefull advice of other reviewers and had a very nice repair experience. I too, used the subject pump for just over ten years, when the pump became noisey and then failed althogether. The repair instructions were simple and I avoided a repair bill that would have been over $500.00 by a Pro, and the part arrived within days as promised.

Recirculate hot water in my home. There is no delay or running of water to wait for hot water in the back section of our home. This product has paid for it's self in water savings alone.

This replacemant part made the pump work like it did when new 10 years ago. My kitchen if far from hot water heater and this pump keeps hot water at tap. Saved having pay lots more for a new pump or waste water waiting for it to get hot.
