the pump was a straight replacement for a failed unit. it is easy once I found a source of supply. the unit fit right into the existing pipe withno modifications required. Amazing! but very nice

This is a replacement for my original Laing pump that was about 4 years old. It is so quiet, I don't think you could hear it even if you put your ear next to it. It's rated for hot water and keeps my 70 foot hot water loop working perfectly. You really need to install plastic pipe on both sides of the pump because electrolysis will erode copper pipe next to the pump if you don't. I would have liked to get more than four years of service out of the original, but it might have been repairable. Bearings and the pump rotor are available from the manufacturer. Overall it is perfect for my application and I wouldn't want to substitute anything else in it's place.

The original was installed about two years ago and I purchased a replacement from Plumbersurplus and the installation went very easily. The original had a built in time clock, this time I went with the pump without a time clock and used an inline time clock, that way if the assembly fails again I can replace just the motor or just the time clock. This is a high quality pump that will give you years of service, if installed correctly. This pump was a direct replacement of a Laing pump that was 13 years old. Install was unscrew old pump, screw in new pump at total of five minutes. Last Laing pump need a new impeller after 7 years of constant use, I hope this one gives the same service.
