The original fill valves had become a bit loud and very slow after about 9 years. I didn't put a stopwatch to them, but it had to be taking somewhere between 1 and 1.5 minutes to fill the tank after flushing. These new valves cut that time to around 30 seconds. They seem a bit louder than the old ones were when new, but not annoying by any means. With three small children I'm just glad the tank is ready to go again in that shorter time.
