When my toilet tank began having problems filling after a flush, we replaced the flapper with a standard model from a local store. That one did not fit, so we went to another place; that one did not fix the problem. I found the correct flapper at a lower price at Plumber Surplus.com. What can I say? Great prices (super competitive) with free S&H. Genuine Kohler product (no knock off or cheap imitation) so it fit and works perfectly. I will admit it took several days longer to receive it that I was expecting but just a few days and at these prices and everything, I am definitely a repeat customer in the future. Used to replace the original Kohler flapper for their class 5 toilets. The original did not reseal reliably (one came apart). The new design works well. Problem solved (and my wife did the installations!)

Kohler needs to reinforce the hole in the flapper where the chain goes through and connects. The chain rips through the connecting hole in the flapper which necessitates replacement every one or two years. They have to making a lot of money on these.5 stars to Plumbers Surplus for [...] good pricing on this item.
