Freequently Asked Questions about Jerdon Mirrors:

Are Jerdon mirrors fog free?

All electrical mirrors are fog free. When they are plugged in, the heat from the light removes the fog.

As the magnification number gets more powerful, the mirror size gets smaller.
• 1X is our lowest magnification mirror
• Our largest mirror is a 3X magnification.
• 10X is currently the highest magnification, and the smallest mirror.

What is the difference between the yellow and green lights on a mirror?
The yellow light is an incandescent light. The higher the wattage, the brighter the light is.
The green light is a fluorescent bulb, which uses a lower wattage than an incandescent bulb to get the
same amount of light output.

• 405-15JD - 15 watt bulb
• 95JD - 20 watt incandescent bulb used in Swing a Light Mirror (wall and vanity)
• 99JD - 10 watt incandescent bulb used in model J1010 Mirror Go Lightly
• JPT25WJD - 25 watt incandescent bulb
• FL4W-JD - 4 watt flourescent bulb

What bulb does the HL7G wall mounted mirror use?

This model uses the 25 watt bulb. Some of the original halo mirrors, like this one, were first produced and
supplied with a 40 watt bulb. Jerdon found that the metal would get too hot when the mirrors were left on
for extended periods of time. A modification was made to this mirror in the last 3 years to allow it to use a
25 watt bulb. If you would like to find a replacement bulb in a lighting or hardware store, look for a 25 watt
bulb with a standard candelabra base.
