Heath Zenith SL-5411-WH Heavy Duty Motion Sensor Security Light, White

I bought my first one of these security lights in Oct 2008 - see previous review. Earlier this last winter it started to stay illuminated and would not switch itself off. This was after three years of reliable use. By manually switching the power on and off I could get it to re-set; but it became more and more difficult to get it to do so. Given the price I just bought another exact same replacement. In this manner I didn't need to replace the mount - just the light / sensor section. A relatively quick and easy procedure. Works great again. If I get another 3 years out of this one I'll be happliy replacing it with another of the exact same model in Feb 2015!

It is very welcoming when driving into a rural driveway on dark winter nights . They give plenty of illumination . I have two of them and they do the job .

I've owned one for Five years it never missed a beat. Recently I accidently hit it with a blast from my power washer. It didn't operate right the light came on but the motion sensor was messed up. I took the sensor apart Dried it on low heat with a hair drier.Sprayed the bottom of the circit board with WD 40 and a little extra on the slide switch. Let it sit overnight. Assembled and installed it and it works like new. I orderd a new one from plumber-surplus for the front of my house. It's the only brand I'll buy.

I wanted a simple eave mounting (it will also wall mount) motion sensing light which would automatically deactivate during daylight hours - and that's what I got; exactly as described! It was an excellent price and arrived in good time. I had one glitch in installation - the centre screw to connect the light into the box immediately cross threaded! Not something that you want to discover at arms length on top of a ladder - I took a short cut by not testing the (simple) assembly on my work bench first and paid the price. Fortunately I found a replacement screw and so, apart from some short term inconvenience not a big issue. As with all of these lights the advertized sensitivity range appears "optimistic" - probably applies under ideal conditions. BUT it was perfect for my application. Very happy with the product - no more going out to the garage in the dark in the early morning. Personally I would strongly recommend this one.
