General Wire 3F 3" Flood Guard

Put in a new one. It might 'prevent' OK, but watch it when it drains.
Draining water tends to make the float rotate in an uneven pattern. I watched this movement destroy the small pin that holds the float. Float and pin goes down your train and you now have to buy a new one.

I recommend with caution.

I bought this product for a home basement drain pipe that occasionally had water backup when a street pipe gets blocked. It is very well-constructed of quality material, is easy to install, and works very well. The price is reasonable. I recommend it.

I know someone who uses your product (e.g., Flood Guard - 3F Model), and up until recently have been free of any incidents. However, just recently the city was doing repair work on the waterlines, which caused the sewers to back-up. Because these people used your product, they did not have any water damage.

Some people were not so lucky, as this sewer back-up caused excessive property damage. The $10.00 investment for flood-guard protection is well worth it !
