My wife and I were looking for this specific recessed soap holder with the brushed satin finish, but we were not having much luck until I typed "Brushed Satin Nickel" in the search-box. Franklin Brass came up as well as many other sites, but Franklin Brass had the most attractive and informative website, and that was our determining factor in purchasing their product.

Perfect replacement piece

This is in a '50s bathroom redo where we replaced everything but the wall. The wall tile was perfect and beautiful, but the hardware was in dire need of replacement and the soap dish replacement was hard to find. It looks great! You might need to purchase the bracket for it as I did.

Design flaws

It is a well functional combination of soap dish and a grab bar. It is easy to install and well suited for the shower. However, The bar rotates, could be dangerous in emergency. Is there a way to tighten it? The plastic soap dish does not snap on left stud.

Recessed soap holders are scarce! It was hard to find one in Satin Nickle and when I did they cost a fortune! I finally ran acorss this one and ordered it immediately. Am very pleased with the quality. The only con is that the handle bar is not a solid piece, it is able to roll, but is still a good grip. This was a great value!
