5/5 StarsAvoided major plumbing job & works great | On a previous remodel I set the shower head a little too low, which worked fine for my young daughter, but placed it at forehead level for a six foot tall person. I didn't want to tear out the tile work and get into the wall on this recent remodel and this solved my issue.

Just be aware that you'll probably want to replace the old 6 or 8 inch bent arm with a short, straight stub-out, which you can get at the hardware store. This will give the new setup a little more rigidity and allow you to place your diverter for a hand-held close to the wall for a cleaner look and less weight on the arm.

Also be careful when threading the unit onto the stub-out and trying to get it vertical. I bent the tubing on mine by using the unit itself as a wrench instead of using channel locks at the base to tighten. It is not flimsy, but anything will bend if too much pressure is applied - especially when dealing with plumbing. Fortunately, I was able to straighten the bent tube without cracking it and it is just fine.
