This is an exact fit, quality part with a brass stem. It was delivered in just a few days after ordering. I bought two and am about ready to purchase extras as we have four bathrooms with all the same Delta faucets. This part repairs a leak around the handle. While at it, one should also replace the spring and seal below the cartridge as well. A hint: about a day ahead of attempting to remove the handle set screw, if applicable, give the set screw a dose of Liquid Wrench to facilitate removing the handle without stripping the set screw it out.

Part # RP24096 is an exact replacement for the faucet I have. No problems with shipping which was quick. Parts come with instructions for install. Need to keep old handle stops. These parts are extra. Replaced two valves in 15 minutes.

I thought i was going to have to replace the fixtures as one leaked. Wife did some homework and found the valve assy. could be replaced. Ordered and it took longer to turn the water supply on and of than to change the valve. [...]!

The hardest part of installation was removing things under the sink so I could get to the water shut off. It is very easy to install and has solved the "trickle" problem on three faucets so far. I ordered a spare last time.

Just what I needed

Delta's website trouble-shooter pointed me to this piece to repair a leaky faucet handle on our soaking tub. When I opened it, it seemed to be oriented for the left handle, but I needed it for the right. Since there were no instructions I was worried at first, but after pressing it into place the center column was freed to rotate and I was able to reorient the piece for the right handle. This is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. The leak is gone and my wife is happy about that. I'm happy I was able to find the piece here for such a low price [...]

I checked all the big home improvement centers for a replacement stem. They all carry the same plastic, non-stop turn design. This one is exactly what I wanted (just like the original) for about the same price. It's much more durable than the one-size-fits-all replacement.
