Broan-NuTone 157 Radiant Heater is a Ceiling-Mounted Heater with a exclusive enclosed, sheathed, long-life element diffuses heat throughout the room. the built-in fan disperses to evenly heat the room and the radiant heater, as opposed to warm air systems (such as a forced air unit heaters), delivers the source of heat to the floor level, not the ceiling. Radiant energy is the oldest form of heating used to provide comfort and is the basis for all heating systems. The Radiant Heater has automatic overheat protection and mounts easily to any standard 3 1/2" or 4" round, or 4" octagonal ceiling electrical box.

Review on Broan-NuTone 157 Radiant Heater

Only worked for two weeks after it was installed.
The thermal link went out, so I had to order a replacement link from the manufacturer, so now I am without the heater for another 10 days. The manufacturer told me not to run it for more than 10 minutes at a time, one would think you could run it longer than that, but now that I know, and replace the thermal link, should be ok.

Recommended? Yes. I recommend this product.

Review on Broan-NuTone 157 Radiant Heater

We added the coil version of this heater in our bathroom 15 years ago. It worked well for many years, until it went out last month. We replaced it with the radiant heat model this time. I think the key is never leave it on too long so that it doesn't overheat.

Recommended? Yes. I recommend this product.
