Bosch RS006 Vacuum Adapter for Various Sanders

I like this adaptor because it fits my fein vacuum without my fein adaptor. The grip still works good.

does not fit correctly, i.e. it did not push on far enough to latch as it was designed to, causing it to fall off during use, and broke off one latch. now i have secured it with duct tape.

you should stress the NEED for a hose adapter such as vac001 or vac002 for example

I am sad to say I was not happy with this item. It does not fit over the rubber gasket on the sander end. When I tried to slide it on with a little more force, one of the two plastic clips that is supposed to lock it in place once it is installed, broke off. I was able to get it on the sander with just one clip, but it comes off occasionally while sanding. Ironically, I think having only one clip left was the only reason I was able to get it to stay on. There is no way I would have ever got both clips to latch.

Fits well, seems to be quality material that will last.

This is a very simple device. There's not much to say except it works; there's virtually no dust in the air now (vac with HEPA filter). Such a simple thing; such a vast improvement.

Perfect fit to the sander. Still haven't been able fit this to my 1 1/4" shopvac and haven't tried to find the right adapter yet.

I've had this on my Bosch sander for a few weeks now and leave it on at all times. The simple reason is that there is no point in removing it, I don't want to sand without a vacuum attached and the original vacuum canister is pretty much useless unless you work outside.
But there's another reason to leave it on. The piece is pretty fragile. It was a tight fit getting it on the sander and I'm afraid it'll break when I remove it after each use.
bottom line: It is needed to use a vacuum and it is all you need but do be careful handling it.

I love my 1295 DVS sander, and attached to a vacuum via this attachment, it does a good job of controlling dust. (Not 100%, but pretty decent when sanding on a flat surface.)

The problem with the adapter is it's not terribly rugged, one of the little gripper-fingers broke off fairly early on. I'm buying 3 replacements, I'm sure I'll need them over time.

Used this adapter on a 5" ROS sander connected to the Bosch 1" vac hose. Works fine once installed. Deducted 1 star because O ring had to be removed and seal suffered accordingly. Deducted another star because adapter was not included with the sander. This is a safety item that draws dust away from the breathing air and should be required.

I use it to attach a shop vac to my Bosch 1297 sander, and it fits perfectly. I use the hose adapter to attach it to the 1 1/4" vac hose. It doesn't appear to be made of a very high quality plastic, so I'm hoping it'll hold up to a lot of use.
