Acudor LT-4000 Aluminum Access Door 12 x 12

The Acudor LT-4000 is a lightweight aluminum access door for walls and ceilings. With a durable design and lightweight components, access to large openings in walls and ceilings is made easy. The mitered aluminum frame provides an architecturally pleasing appearance. The aluminum door panel is lined with 3/4" polystyrene insulation. The all aluminum construction of the LT-4000 is ideal for exterior applications, and also those specific interior applications where corrosion or moisture is a concern. Optional gasketing between the door and frame can be provided to insure an airtight fit.

The flush design is perfect. The latch is designed to be opened/or closed and locked by a screwdriver or other sloted object, but in the unlocked position, I can still get the door closed to a perfectly flush position, yet open it with my finger at the corner. Great since it is an area that I access frequently. [...]

Review on Acudor LT-4000 Aluminum Access Door 12 x 12

This door was intended for master bathroom so I needed something that will not rust. The door is easy to install, light, with tight seal between the door and the frame. Plumbers' Supplies shipped it blazingly fast; I got it 6 or 7 days after placing the order. The only cons is that the door is expensive: [$] or so while a steel door of such size will be 3 times cheaper. However, it's aluminum and light and rusf-free...

Recommended? Yes. I recommend this product.
