Escutcheons & Flanges

An escutcheon is used for any back-plate, ornamental or otherwise used to cover a gap between a penetrating pipe or control valve, and the finished wall surface from which it protrudes. A flange can also be a plate or ring to form a rim at the end of a pipe when fastened to the pipe (for example, a closet flange).
