Kane Home Industries
Kane was constantly experimenting with new products, including development of a basic line of textiles. Specialty items, such as Macramé plant hangers, were also a mainstay in the decade of the 60s. New hardlines were also added, including bar tools, kitchen gadgets, and clocks. Ultimately, Kane launched the company's first line of vinyls, including placemats and tablecloths – items that today, are still some of the company’s biggest sellers. In the ’70s, Kane Kutlery eventually purchased and moved to a large warehouse facility in El Segundo, California. In the early '80s, after years of success, the company’s venerable founder retired, selling the business to a group of investors led by a former employee. As part of the acquisition, the company was recast as Kane Industries. Since that time, the company has launched many new lines, including handpainted earthenware and stoneware products, and various other items intended to coordinate with its softgoods lines. Presently, Kane is located in beautiful Ventura County, focusing primarily on its burgeoning tabletop business. In addition to its inspiring full-line tabletop collections and seasonal products, the company offers an extensive array of basic / everyday kitchen textiles, beach towels, bath towels, bath accessories, and specialty seasonal products. Recent innovations include the introduction of high-end embroidered and woven textiles, tinted and handpainted glassware, and cork backed mats and coasters. Kane’s kitchen collections today represent one of the most unique offerings in the highly competitive tabletop market. The company's focus perfectly positions Kane to continue its impressive growth.
