Crayola from its earliest beginnings has been a color company. In 1885, cousins Edwin Binney and C. Harold Smith took over Edwin's father's pigment business. More than 120 years later, color - along with creativity, learning and fun – is still the corner stone of Crayola. Today, Easton, Pennsylvania is still the home for Crayola's headquarters and The Crayola Factory, a one-of-a-kind celebration of creativity and fun for everyone! At Crayola, they believe that a sound art education is fundamental to the creative development of all children. To further that belief and to support art education in schools, Crayola has established relationships with many organizations including the National Art Education Association, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the U.S. Department of Education.
